SUE DOORNBOS
Susan was born in Toronto, but raised in British Columbia. She spent nearly three decades in the banking industry before opening a diverse gift shop with her husband, Rudy. For the following thirteen years, they primarily featured the creations of talented West Coast Indigenous artists. Retirement brought them to Ontario where she volunteered at the ‘Welland Hospital’ gift shop, and enrolled in the creative writing courses at Humber College in Toronto, the Haliburton School of Art, and various literary workshops. Susan and her husband now live in the charming rural setting of Lucknow, near Lake Huron, and continues to pursue her passion of writing cozy mysteries. Her first novel, ‘Misplaced Trust’ was released in 2022.

MISPLACED TRUST
Set in the small town of Deaks Crossing, Holly Daniels has lived there her entire life. She's twenty-four, single, and thrives at her job as the assistant manager of an eclectic gift shop. Holly has two new additions in her life. Richard Nelson, a handsome newcomer to town whose charm incites passion in the beautiful woman for the first time in a long while. Will he stay, or will he shatter her heart?
Holly also has a stalker. Her friends attribute her unproven fear to the books and movies of the murder/mystery genre she so loves. But she's never gotten over the disappearance of a friend and co-worker over a year ago. Could there be a connection?
