Huron County Authors is a collective of local published writers dedicated to sharing stories that entertain, inspire, and connect readers. From mystery to memoir, science fiction to poetry, fantasy to children’s books, and everything in between, our authors represent a diverse range of voices and genres.
Based in Huron County, Ontario and the surrounding area, we are passionate about fostering a love of reading, supporting one another, and bringing locally crafted stories to our community and beyond. Whether you're looking for your next great read or hoping to connect with local talent, we invite you to explore the world of books created right here at home.
BECOME INVOLVED

Huron County Authors is a community of self-published and traditionally published writers from Huron County, Ontario (and surrounding areas). Members gather monthly in Goderich to share their latest projects, discuss challenges in publishing, exchange marketing strategies, and support one another in their writing journeys.
In addition to living in Huron County, Ontario (or surrounding area), to maintain membership, members must actively participate in at least one of the following areas each year:

Attend Meetings: Participate in a determined number of meetings each year

Engage on Social Media: Post as an admin on our social media accounts on a consistent basis

Support Community Events: Assist with staffing a table at one or more local events

Event Coordination: Help organize and coordinate fellow authors at community events

Website Maintenance: Ensure the website is up to date by gathering and updating member bios, book lists, links, and headshots

Contribute to the Blog: Write a determined number of blog posts per year

Note: Membership approval will be determined on a case-by-case basis/up to the discretion of committee members
