
HAMILTON BAKER
Hamilton Baker is a small-town librarian and the author of IRON SCARS, his debut novel. His short story BLOOD AND HONOUR was selected to be published in the 2016 edition of Shoreline, a compilation of Canadian literature from Polar Expressions Publishing.
Hamilton is a lifelong ancient history nerd (with a tattoo to prove it) and has travelled to both Italy and Greece to walk the paths of his characters. He lives in Ontario along the shores of Lake Huron and spends his summers bicycling around town with his wife and playing soccer with his friends.

SANDI PLEWIS
Sandi’s third novel, DANCING WITH THE SHADOWS, was published in December of 2022. Three years prior to this, her second novel, BEYOND REACH, came out in December of 2019. Her debut novel, BROKEN CHAIN, was showcased at the end of June 2016 and she now has a following of readers. Prior to this, Sandi finished in win, place and show positions in several short story contests. Most notably, she won first place in the Alice Munro Short Story contest and also had two third-place wins in the same contest. Sandi has been honoured with several top ten finishes in the Ten Stories High anthology. She’s had short stories accepted into literary journals including The New Quarterly and The Windsor Review, as well as numerous smaller publications. As well, she’s had poetry published in The Saving Bannister and The Price of Eggs anthologies.
Sandi also taught creative writing and reviewed plays for area newspapers. She currently edits and critiques for selected clients and has co-written a World War Two screenplay, along with a one-hour family-based television series, the pilot episode for a one-hour comedy/drama, and an eight-part mini-series based on her novel Broken Chain. She is currently writing her fourth novel.

BRAD & ELISABETH SELTZER
Elisabeth Seltzer's story begins in Wognum, North Holland in 1950, five years after the war. In 1952, her family immigrated to Canada, leaving the aftermath of World War II behind them and embracing a new beginning. Growing up, Elisabeth was fascinated by her parents' unique background, sparking a lifelong curiosity about their untold story.

Brad Seltzer's journey led him to a career in law enforcement with the Ontario Provincial Police. Balancing his police work with part-time studies, Brad pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree, later transitioning to a role as a faculty member at Conestoga College. Married to Elisabeth, he was intrigued to share her personal quest to uncover her family's past.

For more than five decades, Brad and Elisabeth have shared their life together. They now live in Goderich, Ontario, finding joy in their family of three adult children and five grandchildren.

SALLY WALKER
Sally Walker was born in Toronto, grew up in Unionville, and studied at the University of Toronto. She taught in the city, then spent fifteen years as an at-home mom raising three children with her husband, David, in Goderich. She later returned to teaching. Now retired, she continues taking an active role in her community. A proud grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoys reading, photography, community theatre, nature, travel, and writing.

DAVID YATES
Originally from Windsor, Yates has spent the last 45 years living between Goderich and Bayfield. Just retired from 30 years of teaching secondary school history, Yates is a man who has contributed to the community in other ways as well.
He has written a local history column for the local papers and is proud to call Goderich his home, where he and his wife raised their three children.
Yates has served on boards and committees such as: Fire Board Chair, Environment Committee Chair, Heritage Committee, Marine Heritage Committee, Communities in Bloom, Past President of Huron County Historical Society, a Warden at St. George’s Anglican Church and an Executive Member of Branch 109 Legion.
